How to Import the OneNote Planner
for Mac users – Importing ZIP files
Download the .zip file of the OneNote Planner
In the instruction or user guide file, you will find a link to the OneNote planner. Simply click the link to access the planners stored on OneDrive.
You can then download the files to a local location. Please DO NOT unzip the file before you download it to the local.
(Note: You don’t need a Microsoft account to download the files directly from OneDrive.)
Import the OneNote Planner
Step 1
Locate the downloaded zip file, double-click to unzip it.
After you unzip the planner, all these files should be IN ONE FOLDER.
Step 2
Import the planner by using OneNote Importer Tool.
- Click here to open the importer website page. Roll down to find “OneNote Notebook Importer“.
- Sign in or sign up for your Microsoft account. If you are already signed in, please ignore this.
- Click the “Import” button to upload the entire planner FOLDER.
- Wait for the upload process to finish, and click “View Notebook” to view planner. (Normally, this process should take less than 20 minutes. If it takes forever, please check your OneDrive space, manually delete any unnecessary files from your OneDrive storage, including any failed notebook uploads, and then try importing the planner folder again.)
- Now, open the planner in desktop.
